What a year we have had!!

Ch. Cotherstone Shot & Steel is known as Peapod at home. He is just a joy to live with. He makes us laugh with his goofy ways and he is always up to mischief.
He was born on 25th March 2010.
He is maturing nicely and is doing well in the ring.

Ch. Cotherstone Duchenne wins her 10th CC under judge Anne McDonald.
Peapod went on to win Hound Group 3 under judge Andrew Brace.
Smile also won 3rd place in a large Ch. Stakes under judge Peter Jolly.

Peapod won his 12th CC today under breed specialist Lesley Spence.

Peapod won his 9th RCC at Blackpool

Was a lovely day with Peapod also winning the Reserve CC at Blackpool Championship Show under judge Andrew Brace.

Our good friend Kay Constantine handled Smile and her brother Peapod in the Dog World Brace Stakes under judge Jill Peak.
Kay handled them beautifully and went on to win the class.(second year in a row at this show)
So a huge thank you to Kay!!

Smile won her 7th CC and Best of Breed and was shortlisted to last 8 hounds in the Hound Group.

Was such a lovely day, full of fun and cheeky banter and we all gathered and had a picnic and a glass of wine.

Scottish Kennel Club Top Show Dog of the Year - February 2014
This is a competition run by The Scottish Kennel Club to find the top dog from the previous year. All breeds are invited to submit major wins and the top 26 qualify and then compete at a special event judged by three top U.K. judges. This year our judges were Tom Mather, Geoff Corish and Mark Cocozza, who individually examine each exhibit and award points based on movement, conformation, breed type and star quality.
We were absolutely over the moon that Peapod finished second!
He was runner up to our good friend's gorgeous cocker spaniel by just 1 point!

What a truly amazing few days we have had.
We were over the moon with Peapod winning Open Dog then the CC and then BoB under Judge Sue Piggott.
Absolutely delighted to win the Hound Group under Judge Ferelith Somerfield.
We cannot thank all the judges enough. Means the world to us.
We had to obviously drive home on Thursday night and back down for BIS on Sunday. We were kindly asked by friends Jenny and Geoff Grimshaw to stay over on Saturday night. Thank you so much! Made a huge difference. Thank you to all our friends who came back to the show on Sunday to cheer our special boy on and thank you to everyone for all your kind comments and to John Wigan for photographs! We are truly touched by this.

6th CC

Peapod received his 6th CC today under breed specialist Hector Heathcote. His sister Smile (Ch. Cotherstone Duchenne) also won Open Bitch and together they also won the Deerhound Brace in the breed specials. Was a lovely day with good friends and we all enjoyed it and had a good laugh. Sadly as the show was indoors, we didn't manage to get a decent picture so attached one from a different day from a few months ago.

Peapod won his 5th CC and 5th BoB this year.
So pleased to announce that Smile (his litter sister) won her Crowning CC also at this show.
Smile actually won her 2nd CC at this same show the year before.
Their niece Cotherstone Islay Mist of Kaleginy won Puppy Bitch & Best Puppy!
A fabulous day for the Cotherstone Team.

We were absolutely delighted to crown Peapod as Champion Cotherstone Shot And Steel.
Also won Best Type, Best Head & Expression, Deerhound Brace & DW Brace Stakes with his sister Smile.
